HOW IT WORKS

Turn the bar on from the Glowbar app and it stays visible as you move between apps. A notification gives you quick controls: "Hide" tucks the bar away and brings it back with one tap, "Turn off" stops it entirely. Settings save automatically.

COLORS

• Palettes — from the classic multicolor look to sunset, ocean, ember, forest, neon and monochrome • Custom colors — mix your own with a color picker or hex entry, blended into your own gradient

ANIMATION MODES

• Flow — colors travel across the bar in a loop • Pulse — fades in and out in a soft rhythm • Breathe — slowly scales its thickness up and down • Comet — a bright head trailing a fading tail • Wave — the thickness ripples along its length • Scanner — a bright window sweeps end to end • Heartbeat — a double beat, like a pulse • Aurora — soft blobs of color drift and blend • Sparkle — glints twinkle across the bar • Marquee — dashes march along it • None — static gradient, no movement

CUSTOMIZE YOUR GLOW

• Position — any edge: top, bottom, left, or right, with fine offset control • Thickness and width — from slim to bold, narrow to wide • Animation speed — Slow, Medium, or Fast • Battery indicator — the fill drains as your battery does, and the glow shifts as it charges or runs low • Foldable-friendly — each screen remembers its own size and position, folded or open

REACTS TO YOUR NOTIFICATIONS AND MUSIC

• Notification glow — the bar flashes a bright burst of light when a notification arrives, like a hardware LED • Notification progress — the bar becomes a live progress gauge while an app shows download, upload, or other progress, then returns to normal • Music progress — the bar fills with your track's position while music or video plays • Show only on new notifications — the glow stays hidden and appears only while notifications are unread

GLOWRING

Prefer something subtler? Switch the shape to Glowring and the glow leaves the screen edge to hug your phone's front camera punch-hole. It auto-detects the camera's position and shape (circle or pill), with manual size, stroke, and position controls, remembered separately for each rotation. The same palettes, animation modes, speeds, battery indicator, notification and music features work on the ring.

PERMISSIONS

Glowbar keeps permissions to a minimum: • Display over other apps — required to show the bar on top of your apps. • Notifications — lets you hide or turn off the bar from the notification shade. • Run at startup — used only by Autostart on reboot. Nothing runs at boot unless you turn it on. • Notification access (optional) — used only by the notification and music features, to react to notification events and read your track's playback position. Glowbar never reads, stores, or shares notification content, and the listener is idle while those features are off. No hidden permissions, no account required.
